BEFORE YOU START

Before you start

The process has five connected stages: account, plan, subscription, client, and verification. It is best to complete the account and order steps in a browser first, then open the client to import the subscription. This avoids searching across multiple windows and makes it easier to see which step you are on.

Before you begin, confirm that your device can open the 41VPN user panel and prepare one supported payment method: Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT. Get both the client and subscription details from the user panel; this page does not provide static installers or a ready-to-use subscription address. Existing users can skip account creation and go straight to plan selection or Account Overview.

For a first-time setup, you do not need to understand route protocols, split tunneling rules, or network diagnostics first. This guide focuses only on the steps required to connect. To learn about network requirements for AI tools, route selection, long-lived connections, and streaming output, read the AI Tools Guide after the basic connection is working.

ACCOUNT

Create a username and password

Open the free trial page to display the account creation form. 41VPN does not require an email address; enter the username you want to use and set a password. You will use the username to access the user panel, so choose something recognizable that you will not confuse with an account on another site.

Use a unique password that you do not reuse elsewhere, and save it in a trusted password manager. Check the username once more before submitting, since this account will be used to access plans, orders, subscriptions, and tickets. After creation, the page should open the user panel. If you are returned to the login page, sign in with the username and password you just set.

Once inside the panel, confirm that you can see areas such as “Account Overview,” “Download Client,” and “Buy a Plan.” The account is now ready, but a route subscription will not be generated until a plan takes effect. Do not manually enter server details on your device yet; choose a plan based on your usage first, then retrieve the subscription from the panel.

PLAN

Choose a plan and place your order

Open “Buy a Plan” in the user panel, or go directly to the plan selection page. Monthly subscriptions and data packages are listed separately. Monthly subscriptions suit ongoing use and reset data each month from the activation date. Data packages remain valid until used and never expire, making them better for occasional use or short trips.

Monthly subscriptions come in three data tiers: ¥9.9/month with 60GB, ¥18/month with 250GB, and ¥28/month with 500GB. Estimate your usual usage first: web browsing, email, and text collaboration can start with a lower tier; frequent video meetings, streaming, or large downloads call for more data. If you upgrade during a billing period, the price difference is prorated for the remaining days.

If you prefer data that does not reset monthly, consider a data package: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, or ¥658/3000GB. Packages remain valid until the data is used. After choosing a type, click “Start Using” or “Choose This Plan,” check the name, price, and data allowance, then complete the order with Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT.

After payment, return to the user panel rather than treating the browser payment page as the final status. The next step is ready only when the order or Account Overview shows that the plan is active. If the status does not update promptly, refresh the panel or revisit the order area later instead of repeating the same order. All plans support unlimited devices and include a 60-day no-questions-asked refund.

Account Overview shows an active plan and the corresponding data information.

View Plans
SUBSCRIPTION

Retrieve the subscription from the user panel

After the plan takes effect, open Account Overview. The subscription section usually includes options to copy the subscription, import it into a client, or view usage. Find the copy button and copy the subscription link to your clipboard. The Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS steps below all use this link, so you do not need to add routes individually.

The subscription link is the entry point for your account’s route configuration and should be stored only on your own devices and clients. Do not paste it into public pages, group chats, or screenshots. To configure another device, sign in to the same user panel and copy it again. 41VPN supports unlimited devices, so you do not need a separate account for each one.

The address below only illustrates what a link looks like. It is clearly fake and cannot connect to the service:

https://example.com/sub?token=YOUR_TOKEN

You do not need to open the copied link in a browser address bar. Instead, go to the client for your platform and paste it under “Import from link” or a similar option. If the client asks for a configuration name, enter “41VPN” or another name that is easy for you to recognize. The configuration name is stored locally and does not change your account information in the panel.

CLIENTS

Import the subscription into the client

The client reads your subscription, displays routes, and manages the device’s network connection. Open the Download Client section in the user panel and select your platform, then obtain the client using the method provided there. Do not look for similarly named installers on unknown sites or paste your subscription into a tool whose purpose you cannot verify.

Windows

After selecting Windows in the user panel, download the desktop client provided by 41VPN. Install and launch it, then check the sidebar, top toolbar, or configuration page for “Add subscription,” “Import from URL,” or “Remote configuration.” Open the relevant option, paste the link you copied earlier, enter a local name, and confirm.

After a successful import, the client will show a route list or configuration group. Run “Update subscription” once and confirm that the list refreshes normally, then choose a route. Some Windows clients separate “System proxy” and “Connect” into two switches. For first-time use, enable the client’s recommended default mode; there is no need to adjust advanced routing rules beforehand.

macOS

Open the macOS client section from the user panel and follow the on-screen installation instructions. The first launch may ask you to approve a network extension or VPN configuration permission; this is a normal part of establishing the system connection. After approval, return to the client and choose import from link in the configuration, subscription, or Profiles section.

Paste and save the subscription, update the configuration, then choose a route from the menu bar or the client’s main window. If the system displays another authorization prompt when you connect, follow the instructions to approve it. Once the client shows Connected, keep it running in the menu bar and continue to the verification steps below.

Android

Open the Android section in the user panel and obtain the client. After launching it, you will usually see an Add Configuration button on the home screen; you may also need to open the “Configuration” or “Subscription” page first. Choose import from link, paste the subscription into the address field, save it, then refresh or tap the update button to retrieve the routes.

When connecting for the first time, Android will display a system VPN authorization prompt. Approve it so the client can manage the network. If the device uses aggressive background power saving, allow the client to keep running during the connection in system settings; otherwise the system may pause the connection after you switch to another app for a while.

iOS

Open the iOS client instructions from the user panel and obtain the compatible client through the provided store link. In the app, find Add Configuration, Download from URL, or the subscription section, then paste the link and confirm the import. Names vary considerably between iOS clients, but the sequence is the same: add the subscription first, then update the route list.

The first time you tap Connect, the system will ask to add a VPN configuration. Authorize it using the device’s system authentication, then return to the client, choose a route, and enable the connection. A VPN indicator in the status area only confirms that the system tunnel is established; continue to the next step to verify that the selected exit is being used as expected.

Linux users can also obtain the relevant client and import instructions from the user panel. Because entry points vary more across desktop environments and command-line tools, this page does not cover configuration parameters. The sequence remains the same: obtain a supported client, import the subscription, update the routes, choose a route, and connect.

VERIFY

Connect and verify the connection

After importing, choose a route near the region of the service you want to use, then click Connect. For the first test, keep the default mode and avoid changing DNS, split tunneling, virtual network adapters, and app rules at the same time. Change one condition at a time so it is easier to identify whether the issue lies with the route, client, or app.

Once the client shows Connected, open the My IP page and note the current exit information. Disconnect and refresh the page to compare the two results. Reconnect, then open the website or app you actually need and confirm that loading, login, and continued access work as expected. The client icon alone is not enough; verify both the changed exit information and the target app.

If you mainly use a browser, close old tabs and reopen the target site to prevent cached content or existing connections from continuing along the old path. For desktop software, fully quit and relaunch the app. Video meetings, developer tools, and AI services often keep long-lived connections, so restarting the app after switching routes is usually more direct than repeatedly refreshing.

Once the connection is working, adjust the route for your actual destination. For services in Asia, try a nearby region first; for services in the US or Europe, choose a route near the region commonly used by the target service. Judge the experience by loading, login, and sustained connections in your usual apps rather than by the route name alone. For a more systematic explanation of route selection and AI tool access, continue with the AI Tools Guide.

Completion check

The exit information changes as expected, and the target app loads normally and stays connected.

Check My IP
TROUBLESHOOTING

Troubleshoot first-time connections

If no routes appear after import, return to Account Overview and confirm that the plan is still active, then check that you copied the complete subscription link. Delete the failed configuration in the client, copy the link again from the panel, and reimport it, making sure no spaces were added at either end. If the import succeeds but the list is empty, manually update the subscription once and confirm that the client can access the network normally.

If routes are visible but will not connect, test another route first rather than changing every advanced option. If the connection still cannot be established, fully quit and relaunch the client, then check whether it has permission to configure the network. If other software is also managing the system proxy or VPN configuration, quit it before trying again.

If the client shows Connected but the My IP page has not changed, confirm that the system proxy or VPN switch is actually enabled. Desktop clients sometimes separate “Select route” and “Enable system proxy” into two actions; completing only the first does not route app traffic through the selected route. You can also try another browser or fully restart the target app to rule out old connections and cached data.

If only one website or app is unavailable, try another route near the target region, then check whether the service has additional requirements related to region, account status, or the login environment. Services determine region in different ways, so a route that works for web browsing may not suit every app. For details on IP risk controls, regional detection, API calls, and streaming output, see the full AI Tools Guide.

If these basic checks do not resolve the issue, open the ticket section in the user panel and describe the platform, the status shown by the client, whether the problem occurs during import or connection, and the steps you have already tried. Do not expose the subscription link outside the ticket. The more specific the description, the easier it is to identify the next setting to check.

READY

Basic setup complete

Once the subscription updates, a route connects, and the exit information changes as expected, the basic setup is complete. Before using the service, open the client, choose a suitable route, and connect. When changing devices, retrieve the client and subscription again from the same user panel.
